How to Upload Bulk Data Using Direct Cell Editor with Auto Generated Item Name?

You can Upload bulk data using "Direct cell editor" with auto generated item name.

Follow the steps below to Upload bulk data using direct cell editor with auto generated item name:

  1. Run SDB Explorer as Usual.
  2. After successful login, select any domain of any region end point from the tree on left had side corner.
  3. Click on Bulk Upload button situated over tool bar of main window.
  4. Select Direct Cell Editing from drop down window.
  5. A new Table Settings panel will be opened.
  6. Specify number of Rows and Column .
  7. If you select Specify Column Names option,  you can specify Column Names for each specified column.
  8. Click on Click here to auto Generate item Name hyper link.
  9. Provide starting Number i.e. from where you want to start generating numbers.
  10. Provide zero pad digits i.e. Let's suppose, if you have, between 1 to 99 rows, to be uploaded then you have to provide 2 or more than two. If you have between 100 - 1000 rows, to be uploaded then you have to provide 4 or more than four.
  11. Providing prefix is optional. click on "OK".
  12. A new Direct Cell Editor window will be opened.
  13. Select any column header and right click on that header.
  14. You will find three options Set Column Name , Add Column and Delete Column .
  15. Select any row and right click on it. You will find two options Delete Row and Add Row
  16. Start editing Table cells directly by clicking on the particular cell
  17. Click on  Upload button.
  18. A new ADD/REPLACE panel will be opened, without any change click on Ok button.
  19. The database row will be uploaded in batch. A single batch will process 25 rows.
  20. If batch gets succeeded, then success count must be updated and if batch gets failed, then fail count must be updated.
  21. After queue processing gets over, double click on domain in which you have uploaded.
  22. It will show the number of rows that has been uploaded successfully, in GRID .
